As a financial journalist and deputy editor at Business Insider for more than a decade, I’ve told stories that make markets make sense — and helped people make better decisions with their money.
As a reporter, I landed exclusive interviews with top investors at the world’s largest asset managers and Nobel Prize–winning economists. As an editor, I developed early-career journalists and commissioned high-impact stories that thousands of paying subscribers relied on. I now edit First Trade and Tech Memo, BI's flagship newsletters on markets and tech, as well as all of our email roundups on topics including side hustles and autonomous driving.
Before joining Business Insider, I worked on the bonds and FX desk at Bloomberg News in New York City, where I took my first steps into financial reporting. And earlier, I got my start in journalism as a news editor, reporter, and producer at Voice of Wits in Johannesburg.
I earned a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree (Hons., with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
